2011 is coming to an end, welcoming 2012 :) is the world coming to an end in dec 2012?

2011 is overall an eventful year. I have been really naughty, hurting Aaron most of the time. I'm sorry, boyfriend. But I guess this is a growing period. Next time when I think back on what I have done, I'll probably laugh at myself. Thank you for staying by my side, forgiving me for all my mistakes and loving me always. I would never find a guy who loves me as much as you. After almost two years of relationship, you still made me feel loved throughout. It is amazing :) My first new year resolution for 2012 is to be a better girlfriend for Aaron Wan.

Besides love life, I'm really proud of myself for the achievement I have achieved for myself. All the hard work I have put in for my applications, interviews are not wasted. I will continue to work harder in 2012 and prove to them that I am an employee they would want to hire in future. With this, I truly see a secure future for myself and my family. I still cannot believe it though, this is never expected at all. If Ho Yun did not tell me to go for it and just give it a try, I will probably be working at Apple or at some low-paying company. Everything happens for a reason right? :)
Family has settled down and is more peaceful this way with less awkwardness in the house. Though I dearly miss my mother, I guess this is the best way out. But I sure hope things will get better! I wonder how would next year's Chinese New Year be like.

Although I did not bowl for SUNIG this year, to me, I have achieved the best for bowling in my entire life. All thanks to SIM Open where I won a bowling ball for high game, broke my own record for highest game, won team award 2nd position, and got to bowl stepladders. Also, I got into next year's IVP team. Bowling isn't that bad, but was quite awesome! :D being in the bowling committee makes me feel that I have a greater placing in the team too. In 2012, I want to win more tournaments!

For school life, I have always been happy-go-lucky about it. I do my best and just go for it. Whether the results are good or bad, I'll just take it as long as I graduate within 4 years. But I am really grateful that I have very awesome friends/course-mates who helped me through my two semesters of projects and school work all these years. We did group work tgt, lab work, studied tgt, let each other copy tutorial or lab answers. Without them, I really do not know how to survive my course, knowing nuts about computing. Biggest thanks to Si Yi, Ashley, Jocelin and Bharath :)

Lastly, I have the bestest sister who stood by me and accompanied me through the darkest times especially during our family crisis. Our age gap totally did not feel like any gap at all :D i love ya!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, PEOPLE! HAPPY 2012 :D

No one really thinks about what it means to be selfish.
Kindergarten taught us it was selfish not to share our Crayolas with Maddy. But as we grow older and enter the murky realm of serious relationships, sharing brings on a whole new meaning.

Twenty something years later and I’d gladly take the shirt right off my back if I had to. But I’d sooner die than listen to someone I love tell me about that experience that meant the world to them. You know, the one that doesn’t involve me. Now, I’m not talking about innocent puppy love anecdotes – I welcome those as gracefully as the next person – especially when my Facebook stalking indicates that the ex in question poses no real threat.

The thought is all-consuming. You can’t sleep. You can’t pour your morning coffee steadily. You become involuntarily fixated, obsessed and paralyzed by a stinging truth: someone else has already been in your shoes. Although this person has made an admirable effort to stay out of your life, you can’t help but let the paranoia settle and simmer into your conscience.

We don’t like to admit it, but that’s how we work. Once our webs intertwine with someone else’s, we begin to claim ownership, despite our hardest efforts not to. We forget that we too have held on tightly to the special memories that have shaped our past. It’s not that we aren’t glad our significant others had amazing experiences, it’s that we have a hard time swallowing a very key and obvious point: our significant others were O.K. before us. In fact, they were marvelous. And to add insult to injury, here’s what that implies: Our significant others will be O.K. and marvelous after us.

In other words, you are not as indispensable as you think you are. No one is. Not in relationships where self-identity is valued, anyway. So what does that make you? Replaceable. And humans, as Beyoncé proved for ten straight weeks, want nothing more than to feel irreplaceable. And we don’t just want to hear that we’re important, we want to know that we’re the most important. We want proof. We want it written. Not on paper, but on stone! With blood, dammit. We’re selfish like that.

Our selfishness all comes down to our inability to accept that perfect strangers were able capture the attention of our lovers, and that they too shared secrets in the dark. It is an insufferable thought, but it helps to remember that one day we may very well be that experience someone else is going to have to hear about. Your name and everything that is attached with you will inevitably ignite an eruption of anger, insecurity and paranoia in someone else. It’s a vicious cycle, and sometimes you’re ahead. But other times, you’re pouring over your keyboard on a Friday night stalking his ex-girlfriend on Twitter.

I would always lose out to a girl who can sing.

to remove someone you have once loved completely off your heart is impossible, it is only possible if you totally did not love that person before. once you love a person, no matter if you choose to give up or endure, it's not up to you. saying that choosing one out of two choices might sound easy, but it isn't at all. a person's heart is complicated, my heart is a million times more complicated. part of me says go for it, part of me says give up, part of me says endure, part of me says be brave. you would ask me to look into my heart, but i don't know which part of my heart to look at. do you understand such feeling?
