Today's the last day of 2009.
It has been a year of fun and enjoyment, a year filled with great changes in life and experiences.
2009 started with fireworks with sis, darrall and daryl. My best bud who has always been there for me whenever i need him, and he would fly to my side and console me. You're awesome, daryl!
Took up jobs such as Singtel and taxi surveyor during my long holidays, and got a look at the working world. Wasn't fun but at least i know i will never want to be an office lady in future.
Managed to spend lots of time tgt with tkgs, tj friends and bowlers during my unemployment days till boredom kicks in, and i was so looking forward to uni life.
Hall7 FOC was the first experience in NTU. And it was a great start. I knew this is gonna be a place for me to learn new things and skills that i have never done before in my past life. I always think that i do not have leadership skills cos teachers have never given me a chance to. In hall, i was. I grabbed opportunities, such as to be program director and pageant officer. Besides that, i took part several activities like softball, badminton, cheerleading. But now at the end of year, i'm left with cheerleading and swimming. I realised that i'm really bad at sports nor recreational games nor performing arts. all i know is bowling and i'm not good at it either. That's something i would want to improve myself upon.
Being in NTU bowling team has given me joy and happiness. Was so glad that derek and kevin persuaded me to beg cheer captain to allow me to go for UiTM trip. I enjoyed myself during the trip with the bowlers, so much that i wanna go kl again. It just feels different to see singapore bowlers competing with bowlers from other countries tgt in a foreign country. Also, it was my first overseas trip with friends.
As childish as i am and whatever others may think of me, i personally feel that i have grown up, to live on my own, being away from family, to learn to be more independent. And i have a fabulous roomie, yixuan, to be there whenever i need her, and to console each other whenever we're down. This has made us become even closer and our friendship stronger and everlasting.
As i recap, out of our 3 year relationship, 2009 was the best. Becos it was the period when we realised our past mistakes and got even closer to each other as we overcome each obstacle. I felt so loved and being cared for. I may have hurt you many times without knowing it myself. Slowly, i was learning, i was changing. But before i could remove that flaw of mine, it was too late. This is something that i have regretted in 2009. I could have done better as a girlfriend. But oh well, i will take it as a lesson to be learnt and not to repeat in my future relationships. Thanks for everything you have done for me in 2009, the uncountable things.
To jerome, daryl, samuel, yixuan, natalie, jean, hamizah, those bowlers, hall friends, cheer friends, thanks for being such great friends! even as i was so busy and did not contact you ppl for a long time, that did not drift us apart. friendship counting on in many years to come(:
2010 would be a busy year. With cheer competition and bowling tournaments lining up till feb, trainings and school will occupy every bit of my time. I will put in effort to do my best in everything, to do well in studies, win for hall, win for bowling team, to create a better me. As for the other things that might happen in the new year, we shall wait and see.
